The idea for Driveway Lessons came from a simple realization: some of the most valuable, essential life skills aren’t taught in a traditional classroom. They are the practical, hands-on skills passed down by neighbors, hobbyists, and experts who have spent years mastering them.

Originally, I envisioned these interactions happening right at the end of a neighborhood driveway. But as the concept grew, it became clear that the true magic wasn't the physical location—it was the live, human connection and the exchange of real-world know-how. By bringing Driveway Lessons into a dedicated virtual space, we've built a digital porch where anyone can learn or teach a practical skill, no matter where they are located.
